Nicco Park is the first theme amusement park of the Eastern India set up with the objective of providing wholesome family entertainment.
Nicco Park is spread out on 40 acres of land and provides ample space for greenery which has been beautifully landscaped to include stretches of grassland, avenues and water bodies and an exclusive water park. The Park is situated at the eastern fringes of Kolkata at Salt Lake City and well connected by bus, taxi and other public/private vehicles. The Park is only 30 minutes’ drive from the Centre of the city and remains open 364 days of the year from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm. Nicco Park offers a choice of 38 rides and attractions to provide Fun-n-Thrill to suit all age group. Sky Diver, Cyclone – Roller Coaster, Striking Cars, Flying Saucer, Tilt-A-Whirl, Water Chute, Water Coaster and River Cave are some of the rides one should definitely try out while in the Park. However, the most innovative and popular ride is the “River Cave Ride”.
Nicco Parks and Resorts Ltd. was incorporated in March 1989 as a Joint Sector Company. Nicco Corporation, a reputed and well-diversified business conglomerate with a large range of industrial and commercial activities became a partner of the Government of West Bengal to set up this pioneering theme Amusement Park on a 40-acre land on the outskirts of Kolkata. The Park was commissioned in October 1991 and there have been more than 34 million visitors till date. NPRL has associated parks in Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur and Dhaka built in 1998, 2001 and 2003 respectively.
