Now officially in my top 5 films of all time accompanied by as one with its predecessor DUNE. Never in a million years did I think Frank Herbert’s Sci-fi masterwork would truly get adapted perfectly on the big screen. If there was any one person to do it, would’ve had to have been Denis Villeneuve.
2.1k"Dune: Part Two" stands as a monumental achievement in the realm of science fiction, a testament to Denis Villeneuve's unparalleled vision and dedication to storytelling that is both grandiose and deeply human. This film transcends its predecessor, weaving a narrative that is as complex as it is captivating, inviting us into the depths of its universe with an emotional gravity that is both profound and moving.
2kDune: Part Two is better than the first, and Dune as a whole has made the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy Abominations look like a sick joke perpetrated against the unfortunate audience watching in horror at the complete & utter destruction of their childhood.
1.5kI absolutely loved part two! Having watched the 1984 movie and loved it, I had to watch the first episode remake and was blown away. The depth of the characters and layers of story lines, combined with the beautiful and magical music, special effects and cinematography, and incredible acting immediately got me hooked on Dennis Villeneuve’s work (led me to watch Blade Runner 2049 which I loved as having been a Blade Runner fan).
1.2kDune: Part Two is a masterpiece in every way. Denis Villeneuve has somehow outdone himself again. Part Two had some big shoes to fill after the spectacle that was Part One, and yet it somehow managed to be better.
