They perform fast for the whole day and after the evening prayers, they break their fast. The same schedule is repeated for the entire month of Ramadan and on the last day of Ramadan is celebrated as Eid-Al-Fitr. In 2020, Eid will be celebrated on 23-24 May. During Ramadan, the market is filled with Sweet shops, Clothing, and other decorative items. People visit markets and do their Eid shopping. The sweet shops are filled with Vermicelli. Everywhere people are seen shopping happily with their families. The aromatic smell from the Sheer Kurma is the best part of the Eid. |

Younger ones wait for the Eidi (Money and small gifts represented by elders); the custom of gifting kids is old. The young eyes are sparkled with joy after getting Eidis; they use this money for Eid fairs. On the day of 'Chand Raat' (Moon Sight), some people burn crackers. Every age people enjoy this fest. The Eid fairs are decorated with colorful stalls of food, toys, etc. People eagerly wait for the Crescent Moon. The 'Chand Raat' is the joy for every Muslim community, they wait for it eagerly. The whole month of Ramadan or Mah-E-Ramzan is devoted to Allah; they fast for a good life. The special prayer of Eid is dedicated to the god. Eid is the fest of joy and happiness among people. |
