HAPPY SARASWATI PUJA
Saraswati Puja is a Hindu festival that is celebrated to honor the goddess of knowledge, music, art, and culture. It is typically held on the fifth day of the Hindu month of Magha, which falls in the month of January or February in the Gregorian calendarIt is the most –awaited festivals for teenagers .Goddess Saraswati is worshipped mainly by the students, almost every schools in West Bengal organise the puja and students take part in the celebration .
Saraswati Puja is performed for devotion to the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. The Goddess of learning is worshiped among the students and learned who firmly follow all the customs to worship her. The festivities that go along with Saraswati pooja is a division of the social celebrations. On this day, small girls are seen in yellow saaries. Bright Palash flowers are offered as Pushpanjali along with chanting mantras that is a significant part of the worship.The Puja was celebrated with full devotion at the IMI Bhubaneswar campus. As IMI is an educational institution, it is one of the most important festival. This Puja was attended by the students, staff and faculty of the institution. Arrangements such as the Saraswati statue, puja samagri, the purohit, prasads, etc. were made. The puja was done with full zeal and devotion and we wish Goddess Saraswati keeps on showering her blessings on all of us.Basant Panchami is celebrated around February or March – relating the history of Saraswati Puja on this day from hundreds of decades.Beej mantra is the phrase that is used to worship Goddess Saraswati. Students can recite these mantras daily to seek Goddess Saraswati’s blessings. The mantra is: सरस्वती नमस्तभ्ुयंवरदेकामरूपिणी विद्यारम्भंकरिष्यामि सिद्धिर्भवतर्भ ुमेंसदा। Saraswati Namastubhyam Varade Kaamarupini Vidyaarambham Karishyaami Siddhirbhavatu Me Sadaa.
